Saved Ledger / Field notes

Organize saved LinkedIn and X posts

Saved Ledger organises captured LinkedIn and X posts in a private account. Import captured text and source links, assign categories, then filter your ledger by topic, source, or status. Signing in connects your identity; importing supplies the posts.

When this workflow fits

You save useful posts across social platforms, then struggle to find one when you need it. A category such as “Engineering leadership” can bring related posts together while keeping their original links available.

From saved posts to a searchable collection

  1. Sign in to Saved Ledger with the account you will use for your collection.
  2. Capture posts through a supported capture workflow. On Import, paste the JSON document produced by the capture script. It includes a source, capture time, and list of items.
  3. Review the import result. It reports imported, updated, skipped, and rejected items; fix rejected entries before trying them again.
  4. Create categories with names, descriptions, and useful keywords. Assign a category yourself or review a suggested category before confirming it.
  5. Open a category, search within your collection, and follow a post’s source link when you need its original context.

Example: a reading queue for engineering decisions

Illustrative workflow: group posts under “Hiring”, “Architecture”, and “Team practices”. Search for an author’s wording when preparing a discussion, then open the original post to check replies and context. These category names are examples, not a preloaded collection.

What to expect from imports and suggestions

Repeated imports skip known posts when there is no new content. A longer captured text can update a shorter capture. A capture may still be incomplete; Saved Ledger does not guarantee a complete copy of every post or its media.

Category suggestions can use keyword matching. AI-assisted suggestions depend on the server’s provider configuration and your data-sharing choices. Review suggestions rather than treating them as factual classifications.

Questions before you start

Does signing in with a social account import my bookmarks?

No. Sign-in and capture are separate steps. Use the supported capture and import workflow to add posts.

Are my saved posts part of these public pages?

No. These pages describe the product. Your ledger requires authentication and remains scoped to your account. Connecting an assistant gives that authorised client access to data exposed by its tools.

Can I preserve a post that later disappears?

Captured text remains useful, but its source link may stop working. Check capture completeness before relying on it as an archive.
